Assa Abloy: acquisition of French Alcea in safety


(CercleFinance.com) – The Swedish manufacturer of locks and security systems Assa Abloy announced on Wednesday the signing of an agreement to acquire Alcea, a French designer of supervision systems.

In a press release published in the morning, the group highlights the high quality, the innovative character and the solidity of the brand of this company created in 1995 and which today has some 120 employees.

Alce develops software for, among other things, access control, intrusion detection, video protection, visitor control and key management.

Its turnover approached 20 million euros last year, with a “good level of operating margin” (Ebit) according to statements by Assa Abloy.

The acquisition will therefore be accretive to Assa’s earnings per share (EPS) as soon as it is finalized, expected during the third quarter.
