Among the multitude of projects stamped Assassin’s Creed already announced,Ubisoft Forward of this Monday evening highlighted three of them. On the one hand, the expected Assassin’s Creed Mirage on consoles and PC, another virtual reality game Assassin’s Creed Nexus and finally the one that interests us now, the mobile title Assassin’s Creed Codename Jade published by Level Infinite. Well, it’s clearly not the one who got the most information, but we still got a preview in-game unpublished.
The technical alpha of the game was completed on iOS last year and it is now of the pre-registrations for a public closed beta phase which have just opened, the latter being planned for the end of the summer. In terms of promises, we should expect plot, gameplay and visuals in line with the main episodes, but on iOS and Android through the use of theUnrealEngine. The tactile controls have been designed as natural and intuitive in order to do justice to the assassinations, phases of parkour, combat and exploration of the open world, since this is the formula ofOrigins, Odyssey And Valhalla which has been reproduced here. As a reminder, the action will take place in China in 215 BCE, just after the period of the Warring States as the Qin dynasty unifies the territory, secures trade routes to the West and begins to build the Great Wall. We will embody a young disciple learning to master the art of assassination and who will discover the secrets of this dynasty, all under the aegis of a fan-known spear-wielding master. Well, there’s not much choice given the time frame, not to mention the leaks we’ve seen. It will be Wei Yua proto-Assassin having preceded Bayek And Amunet. We will learn the Way of the Xia otherwise called Way of revenge, in order to punish injustices and come to the aid of those in need. And for the very first time, we will be able to customize our Assassinwho will travel from the Great Wall to the capital Xianyang, while fighting the Xiongnu nomads and foiling conspiracies.
Although still in development, Assassin’s Creed Codename Jade will show us more of its world, characters, and battle experiences later this summer. Too bad it’s not coming out on consoles and PC, because it’s an era that we would have preferred to explore elsewhere than on a smartphone or tablet screen…
