It’s already been three weeks sinceAssassin’s Creed Mirage has been released and, for some players who have already completed it and returned in all directions, it may have already been shelved, the adventure of Basim being relatively short compared to previous games in recent years. Waiting Assassin’s Creed Codename Redof which a visual showing its heroine was recently leaked, some would not be against some additions to this episode in Baghdad. Additional content for Assassin’s Creed Mirage will be available soon! » Obviously, that was all it took for some to imagine thatUbisoft will offer new missions and even narrative extensions in the coming months. Except that the creative director Stéphane Boudon had announcement this summer that no plans for DLC or significant post-launch content was not planned. Has the publisher changed his mind? Not so sure…
The videographer JorRaptor indeed reacted when Access The Animus shared this information by stating that he had seen this same message before the release of the game on a version preview and asked what was happening then. Apparently it would be a simple placement messagea tile that each RPG of the license would have even once support for a game was completed.
We restarted out of curiosity Assassin’s Creed Origins, Odyssey And Valhalla without the slightest trace of such a message to compare, but by digging through our video archives, we were indeed able to see the home screen of Valhalla as it appeared after its launch in version 1.1.1, also promising us new adventures, which it then delivered with its various DLC free and paid.
At any rate, a priori there is not really any reason to offer interesting content of scope without it seeming forced between the end of Mirage and the arrival in Norway in 872. The activities of Basim in Constantinople in 867 with Hytham are in fact covered by the novel Assassin’s Creeed: The Golden City (sold €18 per Fnac), while eliminating a group from theOrder in Antioch is mentioned by Assassin’s Creed: The Silk Road – The book in which you are the Assassinan interactive novel (sold €19.95 per Fnac). There remains the meeting with Sigurdbut reconstructing an entire section of the city or even its entirety just to tell this story would require a long development.
Apart from the pre-order bonus quest The Forty Thieves which could be offered to all players, it seems more likely that only DLC cosmetics are addeda new pack has just been put on sale in the Animus Store… In a pinch, adding a mode New Game+ and/or random quests like in previous games could be a good way to keep the community busy.
In passing, note that the patch day one 1.0.2 which was launched with the game received an additional patch bringing it to version 1.0.4 a few days ago. Although we had to re-download 2,825 GB for the PS4 version, the only “new” shown is this:
- All cutscenes should now play correctly when playing through normally.
