Assassin’s Creed Mirage could be released in August 2023, while Codename Red would be in trouble

Eivor’s epic has now found its endpoint in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, with the release of an update that sounds like the swansong for the game, after being treated to post-launch content for almost two years. All the attention ofUbisoft can now turn to Assassin’s Creed Miragean episode which more or less returns to the sources of the series before setting out again to attack the open world with Codename Red. Supposed to be released in 2023, the title is now the subject of a rumor that comes to us from the very serious Tom Henderson via its Insider Gaming site, which thinks to know when we will be able to discover the youth of Basim.

Two developments more complicated than expected?

The logic of the calendar could let us hope for a release in May 2023, like what the first rumors of the hallway had indicated before the official announcement of the game. It would seem, however, that according to Tom Henderson’s sources, the game has already been pushed back twice internally, and is now planning to release sometime in August. A rather unusual period for the series, which would not yet be set in stone.

These same sources also report that Codename Redthe episode ofAssassin’s Creed which takes place in Japan and which should opt for the open-world formula, is currently experiencing development difficulties. If the game is still planned internally for the year 2024, a release in 2025 would not be excluded, while the episode Hexe would be scheduled for 2026.

You know the song, the tweezers, all that, knowing that we could have some answers from the Game Awards, where Assassin’s Creed Mirage has a chance of showing up.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage will be available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series.
