In video games, “Chromatic Aberration” is a graphical effect that simulates color distortions at the edges of objects, similar to what happens with lenses in the real world. In games, this effect is often used to create a cinematic or photorealistic look or to enhance certain atmospheric moods.

However, since not all players find this effect pleasant or desirable, there is often the option to disable this effect in the settings. However, this function should not be available in Assassin’s Creed Mirage.

There is currently no official statement from Ubisoft on this. As PCGamesN reports, a member of the Ubisoft support team is said to have already marked this problem as a “task” in the official Ubisoft Discord. This suggests that the development studio may adjust this effect in an upcoming update.
