Assassin’s Creed Shadows should change everything for the license

Assassin’s Creed Shadows should mark its world when it is released and at the same time launch a highly anticipated new feature for the license. It’s the fans who should be happy with the news.

It is eagerly awaited and has been in the news a lot lately, Assassin’s Creed Shadows, formerly known under the code name Red, arrives at the end of the year on PS5, Xbox Series and PC. The game should create an event on many levels. Not only because it is the new big part of the license after Valhalla, but also and above all because it includes a ton of new features.

Assassin’s Creed Shadows could change everything

Assassin’s Creed Shadows is determined to give the license a boost. First, he opts for feudal Japan, an era ardently requested by fans for many, many years. It is also the first Assassin’s Creed to feature a historical main character who actually existed, even if the details of his life still remain quite mysterious and there will therefore be some liberties.

It’s about Yasuke, a former slave who became a samurai. The game also promises a real return to basics with real infiltration! And this is thanks to Naoe, the second heroine of this opus who loves to lurk in the shadows and will allow us to use new movements, again highly anticipated by fans, such as the possibility of crawling or turning off the lights for example. Rare, if not never seen in an Assassin’s Creed.

A highly anticipated new feature that will revitalize the license

Not content with revitalizing a recipe that we have known for a very, very long time, Assassin’s Creed Shadows should also launch a very big new thing for the license, the famous AC Infinity, now known under the name of Animus Hub. Announced for a while, this is a Hub which should be deployed soon, and perhaps with Shadows, and which would bring together the entire Assassin’s Creed universe. The idea here is to create a real universe and connect all the games in the franchise, allowing players to find their way around easily and quickly, but also to glean some bonuses. A feature that is found in other games like Battlefield or Call of Duty.

It was Marc Alexis Côté, Executive Producer at Ubisoft, who spilled the beans in the columns of Game File. The man claims that the famous Animus Hub has changed its name but will retain all the functionalities initially planned and that it will be deployed soon. No date to put in place, but it is confirmed that it will be ready and in line for the release of Assassin’s Creed Shadows. Either at the same time, or shortly before. Hoping all goes well, postponements at Ubisoft are common.
We will see ! Assassin’s Creed Shadows will arrive on November 12 on PS5, Xbox Series and PC.
