  • The map of Assassin’s Creed Shadows is said to be comparable to that of Origins.
  • Ubisoft apparently wants to create a realistic size ratio through the size of the game.

Assassin’s Creed Shadows is currently available for pre-order in five different versions. Depending on the edition, you will receive early access with which you can explore the new map three days before the official release.

Creative director Jonathan Dumont is said to have revealed the first official details about the map in an interview with IGN. According to him, the map of Assassin’s Creed Shadows is comparable to that of Assassin’s Creed Origins.

Accordingly, the map of the upcoming game is apparently smaller than that of Odyssey and Valhalla. However, it is significantly larger than the maps of the classic Assassin’s Creed titles such as Brotherhood or Unity.

According to Jonathan Dumont, the reason for this size is that Ubisoft wants to create a realistic size ratio. The goal is, among other things, to make the mountains feel like real mountains.
