Netflix and Ubisoft have indeed teamed up to bring three subscriber-exclusive mobile games, which will be downloadable and available to members without ads or microtransactions, and included in the Netflix subscription.
The first game resulting from this partnership is none other than a sequel to Unknown Soldiers: Memoirs of the Great War, also known outside France as Valiant Hearts, this famous adventure and puzzle game about the First World War. Produced by the team behind the first game, this new rereading of Der des ders will be launched in January 2023.
Another surprise, a new game from the Mighty Quest for Epic Loot franchise will also be available in 2023, to offer a glimpse of the world of rogue-lite to subscribers of the service.
Finally, an Assassin’s Creed mobile game is also in production, without further details, to accompany the series live action. This close partnership between Ubisoft and Netflix will indeed extend over several series dedicated to assassins, the first in live-action, the others in animation. This first series will have Jason Altman and Danielle Kreinik of Ubisoft Film & Television as co-producers, and Jeb Stuart as showrunner.
