Assassin’s Creed Valhalla: a date for the Last Chapter and an update on the final additions, but no New Game+…

Even though we now have our sights set on Assassin’s Creed Mirage and projects forInfinity, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will do its last stand to conclude its two years of support. After adding the end of Tombs of the Dead and one Rune Forge with the 1.6.1 update, then the holding of the event Oskoreia Festival recently, there was only the Last Chapter in terms of planned content, undated to date. Ubisoft has just taken stock on the official website of the license, with several good news, but also very bad… also announcing that more than 20 million players have taken part in the adventure.

So let’s start with what’s annoying. If you were expecting a fashion New Game+ to immerse you in the history ofEivor without losing the progress of your many hours of play, you will have to mourn it, because just like with Watch Dogs Legion, there won’t be any.

We also wanted to bring you information about a widely requested feature: New Game+.

Community feedback and feedback continually drives us to improve the gaming experiences we provide. Since the release of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, the team has worked hard to expand the game experience based on your feedback. The implementation of the very varied content that has enriched the game over the past two years has been an exciting journey for us and we are proud to have been able to share it with you.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla was built as a specific Assassin’s Creed experience, very different in its structure from previous titles and offering new ways to approach the universe and its characters. When we investigated the possibility of implementing a New Game+ mode, we realized that the depth of the game limited the possibilities of bringing unique and rewarding replayability.

We understand the disappointment that this news may cause, but hope that the new content of the last few months, especially new experiences such as the Forgotten Saga, have provided exciting challenges for lovers of replayable content.

If we don’t add a New Game+ mode to Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, we have other content in the works before bringing the final point.

the Last Chapter who will close this long saga will be made available to him on Tuesday, December 6, an epilogue that “will connect some of the narratives developed over the course of the game and will close the page on your stay with the Raven Clan”. And obviously, unlike DLCs paid where it suited well Ubisoft that they were quickly accessible by all players as they unfolded chronologically after the end of the game, you will have to push to the end to discover this conclusionwhich makes perfect sense.

To access The Final Chapter when it releases on December 6, you will need to have completed the following major game items:

  • Completed the main story by declaring an interest in all territories of England;
  • Completed the mythological tales of Asgard and Jotunheim;
  • Raise the settlement to level 5 and build the barracks of Jomsvikings;
  • Eliminated all targets of the Order of the Ancients and revealed their leader.

Time-limited seasonal events will no longer take place and rather than leaving the players the possibility to take part in it at their leisure, their rewards will simply be made available to sellers, with some new bonuses. If you missed the associated quests, you will therefore never have the chance to discover them again.

For those who didn’t have the chance to take part in the Yule, Ostara, Sigrblot or Oskoreia parties, all rewards from past holidays will be available from all vendors in England after completing the quest The First Night of Samhain (Glowecestrescire story). This will provide you with the opportunity to acquire, in exchange for money, rewards that you have not been able to obtain. We’ll also be adding brand new rewards in this update as a thank you for your continued support!

Finally, and this is probably the best news of the day, the update will finally make it possible to permanently wear the hood even without a cape ! Obviously, this will be a purely cosmetic option. Other unspecified surprises will also be introduced on the same date.

If you haven’t purchased the game yet, it’s sold in various editions and platforms on Amazon.
