Assassin’s Creed: Yves Guillemot confirms the development of remakes and a sustained release rate!

For a little over a month, the next episode of the flagship saga ofUbisoft is in the spotlight, Assassin’s Creed Shadowswhich will take us on a journey to the time of feudal Japan in 1579. But in addition to the history of Naoe And Yasuke, the publisher has many other projects in development related to the license. Some are official, like the mobile game Assassin’s Creed Jade of Tencent and the main project developed by the Montreal team which will follow after Shadowsbaptized Assassin’s Creed Codename Hexe. Rumors were already mentioning remakes and this was confirmed by the CEO Yves Guillemot at the bend ofan interview posted on the official website, discussing among other things the future of the license.

Assassin's Creed 01 28 06 2024

He obviously didn’t give any specific title, but His words clearly suggest a return to some form of annualization.but with the difference from the past being a greater variety in the type of game offered.

First of all, gamers may be excited about some remakeswhich will allow us to revisit some of the games we’ve made in the past and modernize them ; there are worlds in some of our older Assassin’s Creed games that are still extremely rich. Second, to answer your question, the experiences will be very varied. The goal is to make releasing Assassin’s Creed games more regularly, but not that it’s the same experience every year. There’s a lot of good stuff coming, including Assassin’s Creed Hexe, which we announced will be a very different game from Assassin’s Creed Shadows. We’ll surprise people, I think.

In short, nothing really new, just a confirmation of what Tom Henderson was talking about. One of the remakes is apparently that of Assassin’s IV: Black Flag. by Ubisoft Singapore under the code name Obsidianwheras’a second one, of which nothing has leaked, is also in the works. The first episode with Altair having never been entitled to a modernization, it would be high time and it is moreover the only one which would have a real interest at present.

Assassin’s Creed Shadows is expected on November 5, 2024 on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC (Ubisoft Store, Epic Games Store) Mac and Amazon Luna, through several editions. You can now pre-order your copy from €69.99 on Amazon, to the Fnac And at the house of Cdiscount on consoles, and from €62.99 at the house of Gamesplanet on PC.
