Released in 2019, Assetto Corsa Competizione enjoys good press among racing game fans. Such good press that the FIA decided to organize the FIA Motorsport Games on the title of the Italian studio KUNOS Simulazioni abandoning their former partner: the Gran Turismo license.
The best Sim Racing players are set to take part in the FIA Motorsport Games 2022. Esport has, in fact, been confirmed as one of the 17 disciplines of the second edition of the event which will be held from October 26 to 30 in Marseille.
For the FIA Motorsport Games 2022, the Kunos Simulazioni studio will carry out a custom construction of the circuit for the event. The competition will pit players against each other in different formats: Classic GT, GT Sprint or Endurance.

Assetto Corsa Competizione is also the official game of SRO Esportsthe esports branch of the Stephane Ratel Organization Motorsports Group, a long-standing partner of the FIA. The good reputation of the simulator during SRO Esport partner competitionscould have motivated the FIA to choose the title as an official game of the FIA Motorsport Games.
