Assystem: 1st quarter turnover up 7.2%


(Boursier.com) — Assystem an international engineering group, recorded a consolidated turnover of 154.3 ME in Q1, compared to 143.8 ME in the 1st quarter of 2023, total growth of +7.2% compared to the 1st quarter of 2023, including +5.5% organically, +1.6% scope effect and +0.1% effect of exchange rate variation.

The growth in turnover for the 1st quarter of 2024 is driven by continued strong demand for Nuclear (72% of turnover for the period) and stands at +9.8% organically compared to the 1st quarter of 2023.

FRANCE (63% of consolidated turnover for the period)

Activities in France, at 97.6 ME, compared to 94.8 ME in the 1st quarter of 2023, increased by +2.9% in total, including +4.3% organically and -1.4% scope effect.

The Nuclear activity (86% of French turnover in Q1 2024) posted organic growth of +9.7% driven by the first effects of the start of studies concerning new EPR projects and the maintenance of a high level of activity on the installed nuclear fleet.

INTERNATIONAL (37% of consolidated turnover)

International activities, at 56.7 ME, compared to 49 ME in the 1st quarter of 2023, are up +15.6%, including +7.7% organically, +7.6% scope effect and +0.3% effect of variation in exchange rates.

The international Nuclear activity (48% of International turnover in Q1 2024) recorded organic growth of +10.0%. In the United Kingdom, growth in Nuclear remains sustained after the very strong acceleration recorded in 2023. In India, the integration of the company L&T Infrastructure with the STUP teams is progressing at a good pace and makes it possible to address the Indian market with a common service offering.

PROPOSED DIVIDEND FOR THE 2023 FINANCIAL YEAR

For the 2023 financial year, Assystem will propose for approval by shareholders meeting at the General Meeting on May 24, 2024 the payment of a dividend of 12.5 euros per share (i.e. 1 euro as ordinary dividend and 11.50 euros as an exceptional dividend) including the payment of the interim dividend of 7 euros per share paid on April 5, 2024, on the basis of a detachment made on April 3, 2024.
The payment of the final dividend, i.e. 5.50 euros per share (including 1 euro of ordinary dividend) is set for July 12, 2024, on the basis of a detachment on July 10, 2024. Thus, the total dividend would represent approximately 186 ME.
