AST Groupe’s innovation hailed by the Prefect of Nièvre and rewarded with aid for EUR 1.6 million

AST Groupe, leader in timber frame houses in France, had the honor of receiving on Monday January 24, 2022, Mr. Daniel Barnier, Prefect of Nièvre, and Mr. Christophe Hurault, Sub-Prefect of Cosne-Cours-sur -Loire and Clamecy, at its POBI factory, dedicated to the production of wooden frames, carpentry and joinery for the construction of houses.

The Group, which has been working for more than 12 years to offer housing that is more respectful of the environment, more economical and accessible to all, has been rewarded for its innovation in construction methods.

Indeed, POBI, winner of the call for projects “industrialization of wood and other bio-sourced construction products and systems”, was awarded aid of 1.1 million euros as part of the France Relance plan under the Investment and Future Program 4th generation (PIA4) of which 60% in the form of a subsidy. In addition to this aid, the Group will also benefit from a grant from the Region in the amount of €471,000 as part of the Regional Investment Acceleration Plan.

These programs aim to finance innovative and promising investments in the territory, in strategic sectors such as ecological transition, business competitiveness and industrial sovereignty.

This aid of nearly €1.6 million will enable AST Groupe to finance part of its new industrial site of more than 3,800 m², located near its historic factory. This project will be dedicated to the production of garden studios, Natibox, and modules for the off-site construction of buildings and ready-to-live-in houses with high environmental performance.

After the success of its environmental home offering, Natilia, and its garden studio Natibox, AST Groupe will offer modular houses and buildings “Made in France” fully manufactured and equipped in the factory to significantly reduce lead times and construction costs.

This new method of construction will also make it possible to meet new environmental standards (reduction of energy consumption, waste, etc.) and to contribute to the local economy.

Alain TUR, President of AST Groupe declared: “ For more than 12 years, we have been working with a dedicated R&D team to develop the habitat of tomorrow. We are convinced that the future of real estate construction, which has not changed for decades, goes through industrialization. This aid will allow us to continue to invest and develop our off-site modular production lines. Thus, by 2023, we will be offering houses and buildings with resolutely contemporary lines, perfectly in tune with the new environmental expectations of the market. »
