Asus intends to bring its ROG Phone range into a new era with the imminent arrival of a brand new “high-end” model, freshly revealed… and equipped with a brand new processor!
While it took advantage of IFA 2022 to reveal its folding laptop, the Zenbook 17 Fold OLED, the famous brand specializing (among others) in gaming recently took the opportunity to start lifting the veil on the ROG Phone 6D Ultimate.
The ROG Phone 6 Ultimate teased, a release planned for (very) soon
On August 29, Asus shared via its Twitter account a first teaser of its new gaming smartphone. After the ROG Phone 6 and ROG Phone 6 Pro, the Taiwanese company is proud to present its ROG Phone 6D Ultimate.
Unlike its predecessors, which were equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, this model will abandon it in favor of the high-end Dimensity 9000+ chip from the company MediaTek, engraved in 4 nm. A particularly powerful chip which is equipped with an ARM Mali G710 MC10 GPU and which embeds a main Cortex X2 core clocked at 3.2 GHz, three Cortex A710 cores clocked at 2.85 GHz and four Cortex A510 cores clocked at 1.8 GHz.
Apart from the SoC, we currently have no information regarding the technical specifications of the ROG Phone 6D Ultimate. Nevertheless, everything suggests that this new iteration will surpass (or at least equal) the performance of the 6 and 6 Pro. As a reminder, the latter embarked a 165 Hz AMOLED FHD + screen, a sampling rate of 720 Hz or a 6,000 mAh battery with 65 W fast charge. Finally, note the presence of a headphone jack and AirTrigger buttons at ultrasound.
Anyway, the ROG Phone 6 Ultimate is expected for September 19. We will therefore not have to wait too long before discovering the design of the beast as well as the secrets that this new model still has in store for us.

A true monster of power, the gaming smartphone impresses with its ability to effectively dissipate heat without sacrificing autonomy – which here reaches records.
In the end, we can only fault the ROG Phone 6 and the ROG Phone 6 Pro for two things. A design that will not please everyone, and a photographic experience that is too simple for such an expensive phone.
