Why occupy just over three PCI Express slots when you can monopolize almost five?
Admit it, secretly, your wildest dream is to own the most massive graphics card, one that will give indigestion to even the bulkiest of PC cases. ASUS and Noctua might have the model for you.
Two 120mm Noctua fans
Joking aside, last May, the two companies finally brought to fruition a persistent rumor: that of a partnership aimed at producing an ASUS graphics card equipped with Noctua fans.
Known as much for the “chestnut” design of its products as for their efficiency in terms of heat dissipation, Noctua is what we can call a reference in the world of cooling.
ASUS had the idea of involving the Austrian company to take care of the ventilation of a GeForce RTX 3080 Noctua Edition: the card thus imagined was distinguished by its two 120 millimeter fans and by its dimensions, outsized for the era.

A particularly discreet RTX 4080
The two friends have just done it again and, at CES 2023 in Las Vegas, they presented their product from their new collaboration, a GeForce RTX 4080 whose ventilation is provided by Noctua.
According to TechPowerUp, the GeForce RTX 4080 Noctua Edition is based on the PCB of the ASUS ROG Strix RTX 4080 with an imposing heatsink crossed by eight 6-millimeter copper heat pipes. Next are the famous NF-A12x25, Noctua’s best 120mm fans.

ASUS Announces GeForce RTX 4080 the most discreet on the market with temperatures not to exceed 61.7°C. Alas, like on the RTX 3080, this comes with a maximum footprint, with the card taking up 4.3 PCI Express slots! Neither price nor release date have been announced.
