ASUS announces pro tablet powered by ARM and running Windows 11

If you want to acquire an ARM tablet under Windows, the ExpertBook B3 Detachable (B3000) unveiled by ASUS might interest you.

This 10.5-inch 2-in-1 tablet is armed with a Snapdragon 7c Gen2 SoC and equipped with Windows 11 (Pro or Home S). It has up to 8 GB of RAM and offers up to 128 GB of storage.

An 8-core SoC

As ASUS writes, this detachable 2-in-1 tablet is primarily aimed at meeting professional, if not undemanding, tasks. In fact, its specifications testify to a relatively modest power. It has a Snapdragon 7c Gen2 SoC. This entry-level chip, made official by Qualcomm in May 2021, has 8 CPU cores and an Adreno 618 GPU. ASUS associates the SoC with 4 or 8 GB of LPDDR4. For storage, the ExpertBook B3 Detachable provides 64 or 128 GB of eMMC memory, depending on the configuration chosen.

The interest of this tablet is probably in its autonomy thanks to the ARM processor and Windows 11 combo, although Asus does not communicate any estimate. The company has equipped its tablet with a 38 Wh battery.

A touch screen with a definition of 1920 x 1200 pixels

The B3000 sports a 10.5-inch 16:10 touchscreen display that offers a maximum resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels and a brightness of 320 cd / m². It measures 26.03 x 17.21 x 0.89 cm. The tablet weighs 630 grams, the removable ExpertBoard keyboard, 245 grams, and the ExpertStand stand, 172 grams.

Other features include, in bulk, support for Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5.0 as well as the presence of a pair of cameras (5 MP and 13 MP) and a single USB Type- port. vs. ASUS also offers an optional stylus, with the promise of 45 minutes of use for just 15 seconds of charging.

Finally, be aware that this B3000 tablet complies with the MIL-STD 810H standard, which attests to its reliability and durability. Among the specifications to be completed for a device to obtain this sesame, let’s mention the 15,000 insertion and removal cycles for the USB Type-C port as well as the resistance to various drops and shocks.

For now, the release date and price have not been disclosed.
