Asus expands its VivoBook Pro and VivoBook S ranges with nearly 17 references


Asus presented to us a few months ago the new chassis of the VivoBook range with Pro versions for content creators and S versions for thinner laptops without a dedicated graphics card.

The VivoBook Pro are available in five models from 14 to 16 inches themselves available in Intel or AMD version. For this range refresh, Asus is switching to Intel AlderLake-H processors up to Core i9 and AMD 6000-H up to Ryzen 9. The graphics card is not left out since the most muscular versions will be able to accommodate the GeForce RTX 3070 Ti which will share a thermal envelope of 140 W with the processor while the VivoBook 14x Pro Oled will be satisfied with the GeForce RTX 3050 Ti Max-Q.
It is on the side of the screens that it moves the most with the arrival of the Oled panel with a refresh rate of 120 Hz, a panel of 16 ” 3000 x 2000 px and two panels of 15.6 ” and 14.5 ” displaying 2880 x 1880 px. And even a 4K Oled panel on the VivoBook 16x Pro Oled.

The VivoBook S range is thinner and lighter than the Pro version with 1.79 cm thick and 1.6 kg. The VivoBook S 14X Oled, S 16X Oled, S 14 and S 15 also benefit from the latest Intel AlderLake-H processors but only in Core i5 or Core i7. The AMD versions will be able to ship a Ryzen 9.
The screens are borrowed from the Pro versions with 14.5 ” and 15.6 ” Oled panels displaying 2880 x 1880 px at 120 Hz. These are mounted on 180 ° hinges.
The VivoBook Pro can carry a maximum of 32 GB of RAM and 2 TB of storage, the VivoBook S being satisfied with 16 GB of RAM and 1 TB of SSD. The connection is up to date with Thunderbolt 4 for models with Intel processors and USB4.0 for AMD models.

These new VivoBook Pro and S will be available from the third quarter of 2022. Prices will range from €999 for the VivoBook Pro 15 in AMD to €2,999 for the VivoBook Pro 16X Oled, while on the VivoBook S, the 15 Oled will start at €999 whether in Intel or AMD and the VivoBook S 16X Oled will close the march at €1,799 with an Intel processor.
