Asus has an unstoppable solution to boost the autonomy of its ROG Ally X

Asus will announce the ROG Ally X at Computex. The Taiwanese manufacturer, which was the first to release a PC console running Windows 11, has since been followed by Lenovo and MSI.

A battery that goes from 40 to 80 Wh

After rumors about the characteristics, new leaks from an official presentation have surfaced from our colleagues at Videocardz. And the manufacturer seems to have found an unstoppable solution to increase the autonomy – Achilles heel – of its PC console: doubling the battery capacity. Thus, it goes from 40 to 80 Wh, which should in practice allow you to get close to three hours of play on demanding titles.

The technical prowess seems all the more impressive as the weight of the console remains relatively low with 678 g on the scale, an increase of only 70 g. Asus seems to have carried out work to lighten its console in parallel with the increase in battery.

More RAM and above all faster

Another new feature is the amount of RAM which is shared between the processor part and the graphics part of the Ryzen Z1 Extreme.
