During its Pinnacle of Performance conference, Asus unveiled a new high-end laptop for content creators.
Between its ProArt, Zenbook, Vivobook, ROG, TUF, Expert ranges, Asus offers a very large catalog of PCs in which it is sometimes quite difficult to find your way around. It’s not the Zenbook Pro 16X Oled that should fix things, but it has the merit of offering an interesting new proposition on the market.
A chassis that focuses on performance and ventilation
The Asus Zenbook Pro 16X Oled (UX7602) takes up an idea already seen in particular on the Zephyrus Duo, with part of the chassis that can be raised to increase air transmission. This “active aerodynamic systemhere offers a 30% improvement in airflow according to the brand, in addition to tilting the keyboard a little to provide better typing comfort. Unlike other products like the Duo, there is no question here of integrating a second screen on the lower part.

On the other hand, we find next to the touchpad a new Asus Dial device. It allows content creation applications, particularly those from Adobe, to offer a new mode of interaction that is much more intuitive. Enough to scroll through a sound track or a video rush on which you are working.
Asus’ work on cooling will be used to maximize the performance level of the 12th generation Intel Core processor, which can go up to an Intel Core i9 H series. According to Asus, multi-core CPU performance would be multiplied by 2.7 against the Zenbook Pro 15 (UX535). It will be supported by an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 graphics chip with 6 GB of video memory. On the storage side, there is 32 GB of LPDDR5 5200 MHz RAM and up to 2 TB of PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD.
We’re getting used to it, but the screen should be one of the strong points of the product. There is indeed a 16-inch OLED screen in 16:10 format (3840 x 2400 pixels) at 60 Hz with guaranteed 100% DCI-P3 coverage.
The connection is also quite generous with 2 USB-C Thunderbolt 4 ports, a USB 3.2 Type-A port, an HDMI 2.1 port, a jack port and an SD Express 7.0 card reader (up to 985 MB / s). Something to satisfy all content creators. The 96 Wh battery touches the maximum allowed on an airplane.
The Asus Zenbook Pro 16X Oled (UX7602) will be available from 2999 euros and from the 3rd quarter in France.
