At 166 km/h on the A12 – police pulled aggressive speeders out of traffic

A Thai man (39) didn’t care about the air hundred on the Inntal motorway on Sunday. He raced along the A12 at 166 km/h. A civilian patrol targeted him.

On Sunday at 3:24 p.m., police officers from the Tyrol State Transport Department, during a civil patrol on the A12 Inntal motorway, discovered a car traveling at far too high speed towards Kufstein. The driver overtook on the right. The car was measured by video at a speed of 166 km/h at Wattens at the maximum permitted speed of 100 km/h. The driver also repeatedly fell far short of the distance to the vehicles in front of him and overtook on the right. The passenger took over the wheel. The driver, a 39-year-old Thai, was finally stopped. The man’s driver’s license was confiscated on the spot. After collecting a security deposit, the passenger was able to continue the journey. The 39-year-old is reported to the BH Innsbruck.
