On the night of Sunday May 15 to Monday May 16, 2022, in the town of Cideville located in the department of Seine-Maritime, 3-year-old girl brilliantly rescued her family when their house caught fire. The facts took place around 3 a.m., while the parents and their 4 children, aged 3, 6, 9 and 11 respectively, were asleep.
According to a judicial source, it is the youngest of the siblings who woke up her parents after waiting for loud noises of firecrackers. According to the first observations of the gendarmes, the origin of the fire is accidental and would be due to an electrical problem. The fire would have started from a room intended for music located in a building adjoining the house. The fire then spread to the family home.

Fortunately, no family members were injured. After being awakened by the 3-year-old girl, the parents and their children rushed out of the house, before take refuge in vehicles, parked away from the building. At around 3:45 a.m., the firefighters and the gendarmes intervened to try to extinguish the flames.
Upon their arrival, the emergency services took care of the two eldest of the familyaged 9 and 11, to transport them to the Rouen University Hospital in order to carry out check-ups. More than 50% of the house was destroyed by the terrible fire.
