At a new attraction – trapped by the gondola: woman killed in the Prater

A 31-year-old woman died in a terrible accident in Vienna’s Prater on Tuesday evening. The gondola of a roller coaster hit the employee employed by the ride, confirmed police spokesman Markus Dittrich. The woman was therefore trapped by the gondola. Any help came too late for them.

Although the Viennese professional rescue service immediately initiated resuscitation, the woman could not be saved. She succumbed to her severe head injuries on the spot. According to the manufacturer, it is the “first transportable roller coaster with five loops in the world” and with a length of 1250 meters it is also the “largest transportable roller coaster in the world”. It was set up in Vienna just a month ago. Because of the attraction, the emergency services had to move out to the Munich Wiesn years ago: in 2008, more than 20 people were rescued by the fire brigade after the roller coaster with them on board stopped at a height of 30 meters was.
