Thursday morning began very painfully and with an admission to the hospital for a 23-year-old from Vorarlberg. As he waited at a red light, a black car ran over his foot and continued his journey without stopping.
The 23-year-old from Dornbirn rode his bike on the Steinacker municipal road to the traffic light-controlled intersection with the L 190 state road. The cyclist stopped in front of the red traffic light and waited for the green signal. A previously unknown driver of a black car traveling in the same direction ran over the 23-year-old’s left foot and continued his journey without stopping. The injured cyclist was taken to the Dornbirn hospital by the rescue team. The Dornbirn Police Inspectorate is asking any witnesses to the accident, in particular the responsible driver of the black car, to call +43 (0) 59 133 8140.
