Deployed in other countries, DaVinci Resolve sees its release window slightly delayed in France.

While Apple would have abandoned its M2 Extreme, the Cupertino company has just welcomed an application very popular with editing enthusiasts on the App Store (exclusively for iPadOS): DaVinci Resolve. Concern ? It will still be necessary to arm yourself with a little patience for the arrival in France…

DaVinci Resolve is available on the App Store (well almost)

Remember, last October we announced the imminent arrival of DaVinci Resolve on iPad. As a reminder, this is a video editing software developed by the company Blackmagic Design. If the latter announced to us a little earlier in the year that its tool would indeed land in the fourth quarter of 2022 for iPad owners, let’s say that this promise will ultimately only be partially kept (independent of its will, specify it ).

As shared with us by our colleagues from iGeneration, Blackmagic Design has indeed published its application on the App Store, at the end of the year, as it had promised. On the other hand, at present, only a few countries have the possibility of getting their hands on it. And you can imagine, France is obviously not one of them.

A French release for 2023?

Everything suggests that we will have to wait until next year to see DaVinci Resolve land on the French App Store. And the good news is that next year is already upon us! This delay for France would be explained by the presence of a new French law on the security of software applications which then requires some additional formalities in terms of authorizations. This clarification comes to us from Peter Chamberlain on Twitter and is transmitted to us by iGeneration.

Either way, the wait shouldn’t be long. It’s a safe bet that DaVinci Resolve will make its way to French iPads in the coming weeks, i.e. from the start of 2023. Let’s remember in passing that the application weighs no less than 2 GB and that it is intended to be free, although it offers a paid offer for those wishing to benefit from a greater number of functionalities.
