At least 13 people died on Monday March 7 in bombings that hit an industrial bakery in Makariv, about fifty kilometers west of Kiev, the Ukrainian emergency services said.

In a message on Telegram, the services indicated that about 30 people were in the perimeter of the bakery at the time of the bombardments. A spokeswoman for the emergency services, after initially indicating that she wanted to confirm the toll, then confirmed to AFP that the bombardment had actually killed at least 13 people. The emergency services also said they had rescued five people trapped in the rubble of this factory, which was shut down. No other information about this bombardment was immediately available.
