At least five people were killed and several injured on Tuesday evening in armed attacks on the outskirts of the Israeli metropolis Tel Aviv, emergency workers said.

The attacks are the third in a week in Israel.

“We had five wounded in two different places in Bnei Brak (an ultra-Orthodox town on the outskirts of Tel Aviv), five of whom died,” Elie Bin, director of Magen David Adom, told Kan TV. Israeli equivalent of the Red Cross.

Rescuers and witnesses reported injuries in another attack in the nearby town of Ramat Gan.
