A civilian helicopter crashed on Saturday morning at around 11:10 am in the Wiriehorn area (Berne canton). The Bernese cantonal police confirmed a report from the online platform on Saturday “20 minutes”. The salvage work is currently underway. The Rega is also in action. It is not yet known how many people were in the helicopter.
The Wiriehorn is located in the Diemtig valley and is a well-known excursion mountain that can be reached with a chairlift. Alpine farming is practiced on the flanks of the mountain.
