“At one point we wanted equality”

For years, Audrey Fleurot has been playing successful roles in both films and series. The latest, “Mensonges”, is currently broadcast on TF1 and its launch last week attracted 5.6 million viewers. A new box for the series worn by the 44-year-old actress. Interviewed in the show “Sept à Huit” this Sunday, September 5, Audrey Fleurot explained that her professional career required her to make some concessions on her family life.

Mother of a 6-year-old Lou, she confides in seeing him very little because of his busy professional schedule. “I am lucky to have a companion who works at home, who looks after the children, and I am on the road”, she says, speaking of her husband, director Djibril Glissant. If this “Traditionally inverted pattern” suits them both, some people don’t hesitate to criticize her. The actress, who admits to being “Stronger for events than for everyday life”, explains having some “A little fed up” the pressure we put on mothers when it comes to children. “As soon as there is the slightest problem, we focus on the mother. And it’s true that I’m a little fed up, because once again, we would never do that with the father! ”, she hammers.

And among the authors of these judgments, the actress is sorry to see that most are formulated by women. “At one point we wanted equality, we wanted to work like men for exactly the same options. I am lucky to have the dad who is at home, and I work outside ”, she explains. If her schedule is quite busy, the actress does not forget her son. “Indeed, I am not there all the time, but when I am there, I compensate” and adds that it is “What a lot of men who travel and come back with their arms full of gifts do, and no one asks himself the question of anything”.
