At the intersection – car driver let Biker fall and fled

To prevent a collision when a driver in Gunskirchen took priority, a motorcyclist put on the brakes – and fell. The driver left the injured biker and fled.

A 49-year-old German citizen from the Wels-Land district drove his motorcycle on the L1249, Grünbachtal Landesstraße, from Gunskirchen in the direction of Offenhausen on Wednesday at around 4.45 p.m. In the municipality of Gunskirchen, a hitherto unknown driver turned into the Grünbachtal Landesstraße with his car and is likely to have disregarded the priority.

Emergency stop and fall
The motorcycle driver initiated an emergency stop, came off the road to the right and fell over the adjacent embankment. The unknown driver of the car continued his journey in the direction of Offenhausen without stopping. The motorcycle handlebar was admitted to the Wels-Grieskirchen Clinic with injuries of an unspecified degree.
