With the approach of a very likely reshuffle, the Head of State is invited to an end-of-year drink at the Ministry of Relations with Parliament. Emmanuel Macron is therefore expected there in the evening and will meet the parliamentarians of the majority there, 24 hours after a dinner at the Élysée in the presence of ministers and secretaries of state.
His presence is not officially confirmed but several parliamentarians have been taken into confidence. There should indeed be a surprise guest this Wednesday evening during the end-of-year drink at the Ministry of Relations with Parliament. President Emmanuel Macron is actually expected there in the evening, 24 hours after a dinner at the Élysée in the presence of ministers and secretaries of state and while a reshuffle is looming.
The Minister in charge of Relations with Parliament, Franck Riester, invited all the deputies of the presidential majority, as tradition dictates. But this time, the petit fours could have a special flavor. In the minds of some, the cabinet reshuffle occupies a special place. If technical adjustments should be favored over a major upheaval, the tension remains palpable. And the rumors are rife.
Gabriel Attal at Education
Gabriel Attal is quoted to take over from Pap Ndiaye at the Ministry of National Education. And, above all, deputies who will be present during the evening are expected to become ministers and could therefore leave the National Assembly. This is the case of Aurore Bergé who would succeed Jean-Christophe Combes at the Ministry of Solidarity.
Sabrina Agresti-Roubache would inherit the Ministry of the City and the deputy Horizons Frédéric Valletoux is seen as the successor of François Braun at the Ministry of Health.
