Innsbruck, a “shining total work of art”
As in previous years, there will be no fireworks in the city center of Innsbruck. From December 29th, the city center will be transformed into a “luminous total work of art”. For a total of three days after dark, buildings such as the Hofburg, the Tyrolean State Theater, the Golden Roof, the St. Jakob Cathedral and the house facades of Mariahilf serve as huge projection surfaces for varied, impressive light creations around the city and the special time to brighten the turn of the year. On the day before New Year’s Eve, outdoor music and artist groups create a mood for the start of the New Year and on the evening of December 31st there will be fireworks high above Innsbruck on the Nordkette, which can be seen from afar.
