At the World Cup final – ski mountaineer Verbnjak laughs for the first time from the podium

Great cheering for the Klagenfurt ski mountaineer Paul Verbnjak. At the World Cup finals in Tromso (North) the 21-year-old snatched his first ever podium place in the men’s category as third in the vertical competition.

Throughout the winter, Paul Verbnjak from Klagenfurt kept knocking on the podium in the vertical competition, most recently he narrowly missed out on fourth place. It worked out this Wednesday at the World Cup finals in Tromso (Northern). Behind dominator Remi Bonnet (Sz) and Maxi Drion (Bel), he completed the course in the third fastest time. And climbed onto the World Cup podium for the first time at the Flower Ceremony. Of course the 21-year-old was overjoyed: “It’s a real milestone in my career, I really wanted to reach it as quickly as possible.” all the trumps in hand before the two final races of the season.
