Together with the main fire station in Villach, the FF Vassach had to move out to Lake Vassach on Wednesday evening. According to the incident report, a woman slipped while walking and fell over a 15 meter steep embankment.
The woman was lucky and lay right in front of the lake shore.
Rescued with a stretcher
With special equipment and specially trained personnel from the human rescue and fall protection team, the injured person was rescued over the steep slope using a grinding basket stretcher and handed over to the on-site emergency doctor.
After initial medical treatment, she was brought to the hospital with the ambulance.
