Paris, January 27, 2022

– Ateme (ISIN: FR0011992700), leader in video delivery infrastructure, recorded revenue of €25.5 million in the fourth quarter of 2021, down 8% and 12% on a comparable basis . As a reminder, the fourth quarter of 2020 was exceptionally robust due to the postponement of several major projects initially planned for the third quarter.

Total revenue for the financial year ended December 31, 2021 amounted to €81.1 million, up 15% compared to 2020 and 2% on a comparable basis.

  • The EMEA region recorded solid growth of 10% on a comparable basis, with revenue of 33.4 million euros. This region benefited from Anevia’s substantial turnover, as evidenced by the published turnover, up 34%.

  • In the United States/Canada region, reported sales were stable at €26.6 million.

    It fell 4% on a like-for-like basis.

  • Turnover in Latin America increased by 8% to 8.1 million euros, thanks to a significant contribution from Anevia. On a comparable basis, it is down 24%.

  • Asia-Pacific posted growth of 10% to 13.0 million euros. Sales are up 8% on a like-for-like basis.

Significant increase in recurring revenue streams

Monthly recurring revenue

(3)

rose from 1,500,000 euros in January 2021 to 1,960,000 euros in January 2022, beating expectations for annual growth of 400,000 euros. Consequently, Ateme starts the year with more than 23.5 million euros in recurring revenue, which greatly improves the quality and visibility of its turnover.

Outlook

As usual, the second half of the year saw an acceleration in sales with a 40%/60% split of annual turnover.

The product mix of the second half being similar to that of the first, the gross margin is expected around 60% against 55% in 2020. This increase in the gross margin allows us to continue to invest in the development of the company, in particular by R&D, with overall headcount (in FTE) up from 445 to 486. Consequently, EBITDA should be around break-even.

Looking ahead, the integration of Anevia is now fully finalized and synergies should materialize in 2022 both in terms of savings and cross-selling. The sales growth target of 10 to 15% and the EBITDA target of 5 to 10 million euros are confirmed for the period 2022-2023.

Corporate governance

On January 26, 2022, the Board of Directors decided to propose, at the next General Meeting of Shareholders, the appointment of Béatrice Pesquet-Popescu as an independent member of the Board. Béatrice Pesquet-Popescu is Director of Research and Innovation at Thales AMS (Air Mobility Solutions), where she defines, implements and manages innovation and research projects related to the group’s four core technologies: Big data, AI, cybersecurity, IoT. She is also an internationally recognized personality in the fields of machine learning, AI and multimedia (video compression, 3DTV, networking), statistical signal and image processing, data modelling. data, convex optimization and big data.

Michel Artières, Chairman and CEO of Ateme, commented

:

“Ateme had a successful year, despite the global supply chain challenges faced by our industry, with revenue growing both on a reported and like-for-like basis. In addition, we have developed a strong pipeline to sell Anevia’s NEA solutions to our Ateme installed customer base, which we will reap in 2022 and help us achieve our growth objectives. The growth in monthly recurring revenue in 2021 more than exceeded our expectations, resulting in an increase of 5 million euros in annual recurring revenue and gross margin at the start of 2022. Finally, I am delighted to propose the appointment of Béatrice Pesquet-Popescu as a new member of the Board. With her experience, she brings a wealth of valuable knowledge to Ateme and her appointment will improve our governance in terms of independence and diversity. »
