We mainly know Deck13 Interactive for his very honorable series of Souls-like The Surgeand the studio seems to be going a step further with the announcement of Atlas Fallen made during Gamescom 2022 Opening Night Live.
A fight against the Gods in a desolate world
It is an entirely cinematic trailer which is offered to us where we can see the universe of the game revealing itself somewhat. For a gameplay demonstration, we will therefore go back, but we at least know the stakes of this semi-open Fantasy Action-RPG.
The lands of Atlas Fallen are made of ruins and remnants of a past where heroes fought alongside the Gods. But these heroes were rejected by these deities, and must now face them.
The sand, central element of a world that it covers almost entirely, is a source of power for the heroes. They can manipulate it to materialize weapons or to use powers of all kinds.
But the sand also represents the origin of the fearsome creatures that the heroes must eliminate in order to protect Humanity. Eliminating these creatures also translates, in game, into the recovery of their essence to advance your character.
Interesting feature, Atlas Fallen will be playable in co-op. The title is scheduled for 2023 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series and PC.
