Atlus will increase the average salary of its employees – Gamosaurus

In a period where layoffs are continuing in many studios, this is an announcement that stands out. Atlus, developer of Persona, announced his intention to increase the salary within his company. Thus, the starting salary of new graduates will increase from 257,000 to 300,000 yen (i.e. an increase from €1,570 to €1,831). The average annual salary of all employees will also be increased by 15% in April 2024.

A decision motivated in particular to ensure that it becomes more competitive on the world stage. Atlus wants to be able to attract and retain talent while offering employees an environment where they can give the best of themselves thanks to a stable income.

Note that the Japanese publisher had already increased its average annual salary by 5% last April. But with the idea of strengthening its capacity to develop new projects, the company therefore considers that a further increase is necessary.

After Capcom and Bandai Namco, Atlus joins the list of Japanese firms having opted for an increase in the base salary of its workforce over the last two years. A first for a long time in Japan which has seen its salaries stagnate for many years.
