The sequence highlights a slow exploration where the absence of music highlights the slightest suspicious noise. Faced with all kinds of mechanisms and obstacles, the two masked characters, Low and Alone, explore by communicating non-verbally, naturally helping each other to progress in a level located at the very beginning of the game, the Necropolis. This ancient metropolis covered with an ocher sky has been abandoned to the sands, the winds and the crows, even if the two children will soon cross paths with an enemy who lives up to his name of Monstrous Baby and against whom the most great discretion will be required.
You’ll never walk alone
The Necropolis is just one of the environments in this world in which a disturbing funfair and a gloomy factory await us. Little Nightmares 3 will be released in 2024 on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series, Xbox One, Switch and PC. Despite the presence of references to previous episodes for fans, it will not be necessary to know Little Nightmares and Little Nightmares 2. As a reminder, Bandai Namco has produced an audio fiction in six episodes to prepare the ground.
