June 9 (Reuters) – Atos, the French IT consulting group, and OVHcloud, Europe’s leading provider of cloud computing services, announced on Thursday that they have entered into a partnership in the field of quantum computing.
This alliance will make the Atos quantum emulator available “as a service” through OVHcloud offers, which will accelerate the accessibility of this technology, the two groups said in a press release.
According to Atos and OVHcloud, thanks to this partnership, research laboratories, universities, start-ups or large companies will eventually have the possibility of designing quantum software and exploring pioneering applications well before the market.
“The quantum revolution and the deployment of the first use cases cannot take place without the Cloud, whose mode of consumption and freedom of use are the only ones able to federate communities of experts”, declared the director of OVHcloud technology, Thierry Souche.
