Atos: historic low after abandoning discussions with Airbus

(AOF) – The biggest drop in the SBF 120 index, Atos fell by 23.02% to 1.655 euros, bringing its losses since the start of the year to 75%. The IT group announced the end of discussions with Airbus regarding the potential sale of BDS, its branch specializing in big data and cybersecurity. Atos had indicated in early January that it was opening “a due diligence phase with Airbus, whose indicative offer with an enterprise value of 1.5 to 1.8 billion euros covers the entire BDS scope”.

“Atos is analyzing the resulting situation and is actively evaluating strategic alternatives which will take into account the sovereignty imperatives of the French State,” the technology group said in a press release today.

As a result, the company is postponing the publication of its 2023 annual results until the near future to allow it to evaluate its strategic options.

Atos had already announced at the end of February the postponement of the publication of its 2023 accounts and the end of discussions with Daniel Kretinsky regarding the sale of its historic activities housed in Tech Foundations.

These operations were to be part of the debt reduction of Atos, which finds itself in a difficult financial situation.
