Atos leads the SBF, Butler joins the Onepoint rescue plan

April 8 (Reuters) – Atos shares jumped 18% on Monday on the Paris Stock Exchange after Butler Industries announced that it had joined the rescue plan for the French group led by Onepoint, its largest shareholder.

The stock, which has lost more than 67% since the start of the year, thus displays its strongest daily increase since December and stands at 2.31 euros, at the top of the SBF 120 which advances at the same time by 0 .39%.

The French investment company founded by Walter Butler indicated in a press release on Sunday that it had joined Onepoint’s strategic project to save the technological flagship.

The rescue plan aims to avoid any plans to sell the group in serious financial difficulties and whose gross debt reaches 4.6 billion euros.

The boss of Onepoint, David Layani, made known in March his desire to put an end to any sale project to preserve the integrity of Atos’ assets, after the end of discussions with Airbus for the sale of its BDS (Big Data & Security).

Atos, which holds assets considered strategic by the French government, will unveil the parameters of its refinancing framework to its creditors on Monday evening.

The group, which did not comment on the information concerning Butler Industries, however recalled that it would provide a “market update” on Tuesday morning before the opening of the Stock Exchange.
