(CercleFinance.com) – Atos announced Monday that the secure multifunction computer from its cybersecurity subsidiary Eviden had been selected by the aeronautics industrial service of the Ministry of the Armed Forces.
The gateway will thus be integrated into the tactical system annexed to the American carrier of the French Navy’s ‘E-2D Hawkeye’ command, detection and control aircraft.
The solution aims to enable a two-way exchange in real time between authorized data coming from the native American system and complementary French tactical data.
The contra – formalized on the occasion of the World Defense and Security Exhibition (Eurosatory) which opens today in Villepinte, near Paris, must thus guarantee the compartmentalization and sovereignty of the chain of embedded systems
According to Atos, this contract – made official on the occasion – confirms Eviden’s expertise in the design and manufacturing of on-board computers.
Eviden was also entrusted by the General Directorate of Armaments (DGA) with the development and deployment of an on-board system within the Army Light Aviation (ALAT) carriers.
This new information system – which should make it possible to network ALAT carriers with land tactical information systems and thus constitute an air-land tactical bubble – will replace existing systems by 2026 .
