(AOF) – The Atos Board of Directors, following the recommendations of the Nominations and Governance Committee, has appointed Yves Bernaert as Chief Executive Officer of the Atos Group, the IT group said in a press release. His appointment is effective today. It will be proposed to the General Meeting to appoint him as Director. After having held several management positions in France and internationally, Yves Bernaert has been CEO Europe of Accenture Technology for the last 9 years.
Yves Bernaert, 55, started his career as an auditor at PWC before joining Accenture in 1992.
His first mission will be to carry out the next stages of the transformation plan, and to accelerate the recovery of the group’s activities.
In the event that the finalization of the separation were to be decided by the Board of Directors, Yves Bernaert would then be exclusively in charge of developing the new Eviden group.
In addition, he will lead, alongside Paul Saleh, Financial Director of the group, the exclusive negotiations underway with EPEI under the supervision of the Board of Directors with a view to approving the proposed operation and the capital increases envisaged by the General Assembly.
“By appointing Yves Bernaert as head of Atos, the Board has chosen a manager with recognized skills in the technology and digital transformation industry,” explains the company.
Nourdine Bihmane, previously Deputy CEO of Atos, is appointed Deputy CEO of Atos in charge of Tech Foundations. Philippe Oliva, who was previously CEO of Eviden, has decided to leave the group after a transition period. Diane Galbe, who was Deputy Managing Director in charge of support functions and strategic projects, has joined the Tech Foundations teams.
