The atmosphere was relaxed and there was probably a lot of alcohol flowing. But after midnight things got serious at a fun carnival ball in Kössen in Tyrol. In an argument between three young men, a 36-year-old woman was caught between the two, completely innocently.
According to the police, the incident occurred on Sunday night around 1:30 a.m. in the Kössen event center. The carnival ball was still in progress when the argument between the three men escalated and fists flew. To her chagrin, the 36-year-old and her companion stood right next to the brawlers. Several blows to the head. Apparently blind with anger, one of the young men lashed out and hit with his fist. The woman was hit in the head with several blows and then fell to the ground along with the attacker. The 36-year-old’s companion pulled the angry man away from the victim. He pulled himself together and ran away. The 36-year-old was left behind with serious injuries. She had to be admitted to St. Johann Hospital. The surveys carried out by the police on site were negative. None of the guests still present were able to provide any more precise information about the attacker.
