The government of Israel announced new security measures on Saturday evening. Among other things, gun laws are to be relaxed.

In a special session, the Israeli government decided to take measures against several attacks in Jerusalem. Among other things, gun laws are to be relaxed in order to make it easier for citizens to access guns. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu also announced targeted operations by the security forces to collect illegal weapons and measures to strengthen Jewish settlements.
Several countries and international organizations such as the UN condemned the attacks. Including Switzerland: The foreign department EDA called on all parties involved to exercise restraint.
