Cyber criminals are currently targeting customers of ING-DiBa AG. In order to get your bank details, the unknown perpetrators use a phishing email with the subject “customer number”.
According to the consumer advice center, you will be informed in the mail that your account has been blocked due to technical security reasons. The ban was allegedly already carried out on April 23, 2022, as you have not yet gone through a confirmation process. In order to be able to use your account again, you will be asked to catch up on the process via an attached link.
However, if you click on the link, you will be taken to a fake ING page where your details will be requested. If you give them up, they will immediately fall into the hands of criminals. We advise you to delete the mail and ignore the supposed block.
If you have already provided the details, you can still prevent misuse of your bank details by getting in touch with your ING contact immediately.
Simple signs: This is how you recognize every phishing email
A first indication that you have received a phishing email: the email will ask you to confirm personal data or to enter it on a website.
