The new channel is called Sky Showcase and that explains what it’s all about: showing what you’ve got. As is well known, Sky has an incredible number of channels on offer that serve completely different purposes: Sky Atlantic, for example, shows high-quality US series from HBO, Sky crime shows crime content, the partner channel SyFy shows various fantasy and sci-fi series and so on . To draw attention to all of this content, Sky customers can turn on Showcase and get a variety of different genres to match the time. During the day, documentaries, series highlights, programs for minors and, for example, sports news are shown, in the evening there are current series such as “The Staircase”, “Ghosts”, in August the “Game of Thrones” spinoff “House of the Dragon” and various blockbusters. Elke Waltheim from Sky calls the broadcaster a “best of” the entertainment program.
