Attraction on TF1: will there be a season 2?


TF1 is broadcasting this Thursday evening the last four episodes of “Attraction”, its new thriller with Lannick Gautry in the role of a dangerous husband. Will the series be entitled to a season 2?

After only two evenings on the air, TF1 is broadcasting this Thursday, May 9 from 9:10 p.m. the last four episodes of Attraction, a family thriller led by Lannick Gautry and Laura Sépul. The latter lends her features to Agathe, a mother with a seemingly perfect life.

A charming house, a loving and talented husband and healthy children, everything seems to be in its place. However, after 15 years of marriage, the varnish of this pretty postcard begins to crack.

The suspicious suicide of a young woman in the hotel where her husband was staying for work arouses his suspicions. Is the man she shares her life with a murderer? She realizes that she has been trapped in an abusive and toxic relationship for several years, with no real way to escape.

With the emergence of doubt, Agathe plunges into obsession, and the family unit becomes the arena of a high-voltage criminal investigation. Like the founding fears of our childhood, the monster is no longer in the closet, he is in the bed.

Is a season 2 possible?

During an interview given to the RTBFproducer Catherine Burniaux and screenwriters Sophia Perié and Barbara Abel confided that Attraction would indeed be back for a season 2. But if the end of season 1 is open, Agathe having suspicions towards another member of her family , the new episodes will not be a sequel.

Attraction is indeed an anthology series, each new season will tell a new story. Barbara Abel thus confided: “the concept is ‘a house, a family and the danger that comes from within’”.

After tackling the theme of toxic marriage, the new episode will talk about toxic motherhood. For the moment, no casting or broadcast date has yet been communicated for this new season of Attraction. To be continued…
