Parks in NRW – The Eifel National Park and the Teutoburg Forest are among the most beautiful landscapes that are ideal for walking and hiking. They both host a variety of animals and trails that you can discover with your friends and family.
Walks around the lakes – A relaxing tour to the Biggesee in the Sauerland or to the Tenderingssee are the perfect choice for the hot summer days. A small bike tour around the Möhnesee or a boat trip on the lake are also perfect for warm days.
Expedition to the stones – In NRW you can take a trip to the famous Externstein in Horn-Bad Meinberg. There are many legends surrounding the origin of the stones, and the untouched nature around them has definitely created a magical feeling for this place.
Excursion to a cave – Stalactite caves are another highly recommended way to spend the hot summer days in a cool place. Our favorite suggestions are the Wiehler stalactite cave and the Atta cave in Attendorn, which is one of the largest stalactite caves in Germany.

Castle "Drachenburg – Königswinter is one of the most fascinating castles in North Rhine-Westphalia. It was built in 1882 and after the death of the owner Baron Stephan von Sarter, the building was used for many purposes, including as a Christian boarding school.
Altena Castle – It is another remarkable castle built in the 12th century. Stories about legendary knights and the wonderful view of the whole city are reason enough for you to take a trip to this sight.
Castle 'Burg an der Wupper' – It is the largest in all of NRW. This castle, built in the 12th century, has been completely restored, but has retained its authentic look and stories that you can discover.
