Aubervilliers: a driver refuses to stop in front of the police and kills a passerby

Traffic crime has claimed another victim. A 60-year-old woman walking on the sidewalk was fatally hit by a driver trying to flee the police on Sunday morning in Aubervilliers.

Driving at the wheel of a BMW car, in the streets of the city of Seine-Saint-Denis, the driver began by refusing to stop when the police asked him, reports Actu17. On the contrary, he decided to rush forward, while the agents tried to chase him.

Continuing to accelerate, he sought to overtake a vehicle to outrun his pursuers, losing control of his car at that point. He then hit head-on his victim, who was walking on the sidewalk. Supported by the emergency services, she was declared dead a few moments later.

The driver and his passenger were immediately arrested by the police, before being taken into custody. An investigation was opened, while three people who saw the facts had to be taken care of by the emergency services, in shock.
