Wands from “Harry Potter” and Princess Leia’s skimpy “Star Wars” outfit: big Hollywood auction in Los Angeles.

Costumes from “Star Wars”, props from “Harry Potter” and “Alien”, plus personal items from film greats such as Humphrey Bogart (1899-1957) or Dennis Hopper (1936-2010): The auction house Julien’s Auctions is auctioning over 1400 objects from famous films or owned by stars. The auction entitled Legends: Hollywood & Royalty will take place September 6-8, 2023 in Los Angeles.

The auction is in honor of the 100th anniversary of Warner Bros. Many pieces from the major film studio are open to the public for the first time.

But it’s not just costumes and props from Warner films that are for sale. Star Wars memorabilia are an important part of the auction. Up for auction is the infamous skimpy outfit worn by Carrie Fisher (1956-2016) in ‘Return of the Jedi’ (1983) when Princess Leia is a slave to Jabba the Hutt.

Affordable Star Wars fans could also bid for Han Solo’s DL-44 and Chewbacca’s Bowcaster, which appear in 2015’s Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Even newer is a pistol from the current series “The Mandalorian”.

Props from “Star Trek”, “Alien” and “Harry Potter”

Objects from the second major sci-fi franchise “Star Trek” are also up for auction. A jacket worn by William Shatner (92) as Captain Kirk in “Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan” (1982), for example. Or a model of the USS Yeager from the series.

Sci-fi connoisseurs could also like models from the “Alien” series or a helmet worn by Robert Downey Jr. (58) as “Iron Man”. “Harry Potter” fans could bid on various wands used in the films Harry, Dumbledore or Lord Voldemort.

It’s not just objects and clothing from films that go under the hammer, but also things from the personal belongings of film stars. The Hollywood couple Humphrey Bogart and Lauren Bacall (1924-2014) not only have their wedding rings, but also various gifts that the stars gave each other.
